Anne Queffélec is acclaimed worldwide as an outstanding pianist.
Renowned in Europe, Japan, China, Canada, the United States, etc., she is regularly invited to perform with great orchestral ensembles such as the philharmonic orchestras of London, Prague, Japan, the Orchestre National de France, and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, under the baton of prestigious conductors such as Pierre Boulez, John Eliot Gardiner, Philippe Jordan, Christoph Eschenbach, Jean-Claude Casadesus, and Marek Janowski among others.
In 1990, Anne Queffélec was voted “Best Performer of the Year” at the Victoires de la musique classique awards. She has performed several times at the “Proms” in London as well as major French festivals such as La Folle journée de Nantes, La Roque d’Anthéron, and La Chaise Dieu.
Passionate about sharing her art, she gives frequent masterclasses in France and abroad and participates in the juries of major international competitions, including the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the International Beethoven Piano Competition, the Clara Haskil Competition, and the ARD Competition in Munich.
Her eclectic repertoire shines through her discography with some forty recordings of works by illustrious composers such as Dominique Scarlatti and Henri Dutilleux, released by Erato and Mirare. Several of her albums have been awarded with the “Diapason d’Or.” Anne Queffélec has just released an anniversary 21-CD box set featuring all her Erato and Virgin recordings between 1970 and 1996.
