The star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter has been a friend of the Ruhr Piano Festival for 25 years now, and over the years she has performed here in a variety of formations: sometimes as a duo, usually with her long-time musical partner Lambert Orkis, sometimes in various trio formations, including Yefim Bronfman or the recently deceased Sir André Previn and Lynn Harrell. Now she returns to the festival for the twelfth time, this time with Latvian pianist Lauma Skride, with whom she will make up for the concert originally planned for 22 June 2020 with Lambert Orkis.
