Many acclaimed artists including violinists Vadim Repin and Maxim Vengerov are graduates of the Novosibirsk State Conservatory. Currently supported by a scholarship provided by Denis Matsuev as well as by conductor Vladimir Spivakov’s foundation, Borisov is making his first appearance at the Ruhr Piano Festival – in a programme that puts many different facets of his art on his display.
