The fourth concert in our new series “Piano & Electronics” traverses the history of keyboard instruments and unites them in a symphony of possibilities and tonal colors.

Michael Wollny, the young and vibrant jazz legend from Leipzig, has joined forces with harpsichordist Tamar Halperin. Their project, Wunderkammer, is a sonic journey into the marvelous worlds that emerge when an entire museum room of historical and modern keyboard instruments is combined. Everything with keys that didn’t seem to fit together for a long time: here, it all comes together in one place. Harpsichord, celesta, harmonium, Fender Rhodes, concert grand piano… The existence of this concert is a true sensation because Michael Wollny initially intended to develop a pure studio album. Now, we have the live pleasure of experiencing these sparkling sounds. A stellar moment of piano and keyboard music is to be expected.
